Default Question for guys with 17" rims

hey I know this is the wrong forum for this but im curious what size tires do you have on your 17" rims 225/45/17 or 215/45/17
will 225's rub on my car my00 rs.

I have 215/45/17, and they rub, but I have a diffrernt offfset.

I've read someone in Florida has the stock sti bbs wheels which use 225 45 17 on his stock suspension RS without problems. But I'm sure if your car is lowered or plan on lowering, you might want to stick with 215 45 17 to avoid any problems.

So your the guy who got those really cheap sti wheels, I wanted them also.

nono I didnt get those rims I just won a gift certificate for tires at a golf tournement. and am planning on getting some 17" rims so I thought i would get the tires now.

214/45/17 on stock suspension and +53 offset. Works good.

It's all in the offset... if you have the proper one you won't rub. Granted I have a GD, but my 225's have never had any problems.

215/45/17 with 7.5' width rims and 48 offset, no rubbing.
225/40/18 with 7.5' width rims and 51 offset, no rubbing.

been told that if you got stock suspension, +48 offset is okay; however, if you are lowered go for +53 offset or higher.

lowered to about 2 finger gap @ 300lb/250lb
+48mm offset
