Default Battery relocation question

I'm thinking of putting a Hawker dry cell in my car. I'll probably keep things simple and just mount it where the stock battery goes, but what should I be concerned about if I move my new battery to under the passenger seat? What about adding the weight of several feet of battery cable? Yes, I'm moving 15lbs from the front upper engine compartment into the low centre of the car, but I'm adding extra weight with the cable plus the extra work of the move etc etc.

Thoughts?

Just read uncle scotty's report in another thread where he says that you can't leave ANYTHING electrical on overnight because the 680 series has no reserve capacity. What about my digital clock

I have left my car unstarted for 4 days with no ill effects...no alarm activated.
I have no data on alarm energy consumption, however I should think that overnight would be ok.
