I recently took out my air filter while reinstalling my intake and shook the intake over a trash can. Obviously I heard stuff coming out but after I did it I wondered if this was a good idea or not. I don't know if I lodged some of the debris in there a little more or not.
This is the stock paper air filter and I just hit the clean side a few times with my hand to make the big debris fall out the other side. The filter only has 16k miles on it. Thanks
