Question Fluid recommendations for all parts of the engine?

I'm going to do a jdm ej20G swap and changing all fluid's power steering to coolant. I want the best stuff or the next best stuff for

hydro style clutch
oil
coolant
tranny
power steering?

the tranny I have will have a center lsd and my rear diff will have an lsd.

what do you guys think of water wetter? the jdm motor wants a higher octane than I can provide so I'll need to do all I can to cool down the motor

I know a guy who can get me amsoil any one here knows if they are any good? anyone better?

thanks
Dan

Oil FAQ

For the tranny I would go with dino 75W-90. All the space age synthetics cause different issues with different trannys.

Amsoil is Tupperware for men, save your money.

Power steering fluid is power steering fluid is power steering fluid.

One issue that comes up occasionally is that synthetic transmission lubricants are "too slippery" which prevents the synchro gears from doing their job fast enough resulting in grinding/clashing gears while shifting. [on the other hand if you double clutch your downshifts, you won't be using the synchros much anyways]

I've heard of issues when using Neo Synthetic RHD (Racing Heavy Duty) Transmission Oil. I don't remember what the problems were though...

I've got Neo Synthetic HD in my transmission and i'm perfectly happy with it. You just have to make sure you adapt your driving style to shift properly.

Clutch fluid is the same as brake fluid. (Silkolene, ATE, Subaru OEM...)

Oh yeah, power steering fluid is also the same as automatic transmission fluid. (On subarus anyways...)

Dan,
Water wetter is great if you have an ancient BMW (mine is a '88 M6) in the SW in Summer, but otherwise, save su dinero mi amigo.
