Default Removing the cross bars

I unscrewed the clamp, no problem. But I still can't get the cross bars off. I can move them forward and back on the rails, but can't disengage them from the lips on the rails. What am I missing? I have a 2002. Help appreciated!

Barbara

Default Push and pull when holding

Hi Babara,
I just took off our rack bars to my wife's disappointment. With an allen wrench, completely removing. One hand holding the mounting bracket and the other holding the bar; I pushed and pulled trying to separate, which eventually worked. Good luck.

Thanks, at least I know it's possible. Guess I'm lacking the upper body strength :-(.
