Post The people at superhonda.org sure are ferocious.

One of their members asked about the Impreza RS and so I give my opinion and then someone flames me! I even get accused of making fun of their Civics(in a seperate thread) when actually I never made one negative remark about their cars! They just assume that I'm there to harass them!

Their moderator erased a similar thread where someone else was curious about leasing an RS. We just gave unbiased facts and numbers and our own experience with the RS and next thing we know, the thread is GONE!

Then the moderator claims that no cares to hear what we have to say! But why would someone ask about it? Wouldn't it be better if the information came from owners of the RS and not just Civic owners?

something about those honda boys.... i don't know. a bit of insecurity maybe? or possibly just an inferiority complex? or just a big ego? No, i'm not saying ALL honda drivers, but many of those civics, man, who knows?

eh, superhonda isn't really that fair when it comes to non honda issues...

they are known to delete threads because it does not cast things as they want them to..

actually.. Clubsi is a good place to go and talk about cars... yes, there are some ******** over there... but I've been over there for a while and have never had a negative experince when talking about the RS..

for the most part they all love the RS over there...
alot of "if I had 4-5K more when I was shopping for a car, I would have gotten or considered the RS"

just my thoughts..

funny....that is the same exact vibe I got when I came here from superhonda about this board. When I saw posts like "stupid si drivers" and then civics being targeted in many other posts...not that I really care.

Cool

Well I'm a Moderator (for the S2000 Forum)
at http://www.Honda-Acura.net so come on over! Generally a good crowd, if you hang out on the right board. H-A.net has intentionally set up separate "Off Topic" boards to try to detract flamers and that sort of thing. I think it's helped. Actually they host www.off-topic.net which was opened recently... Pretty wild place!

I really hope no one on this board paid 4 or 5k more than my Si for their Imp. That would be a rip-off!

fast Si

I got my Impreza for $18,450. Not a bad price for an all wheel drive car. I think I paid only $1000 more than some guys I know who bought an Si.

For $1000 more, you could've had one!

I looked at all cars under 20, and the impreza just wasn't fast enough for me. I also hate the factory suspension. It even feels slower than it is. Fvck that. Also, when I bought my car I knew I was gonna mod it. Didn't feel like getting raped for even the most basic mod. The impreza aftermarket sucks, and the car isn't good enough to drive stock. Neither is my Si, but it isn't stock, and I haven't filed chapter 13 yet. I had a `87 CRX Si(1800 lbs-105hp) and then a 200SX SE-R. I wasn't gonna go to a slower car. yeah, yeah ,yeah, AWD. If I was gonna get something all-wheel drive it would be an Audi. Or maybe something used, like an old-skool celica all-trac or Galant VR-4.

I am just not down to buy a WRX without the only thing that makes it what it is, the 2.0 Turbo.

It's funny... I've never had any problems with honda owner's in real life - just on BB's...

Yeah, I wish the RS had the WRX engine, and I overpaid for mine, and the aftermarket is slow coming up to speed, and the parts are expensive, the seats hurt my back, it's heavy, and AWD sure is pretty useless in So-Cal...

But hey, it is what it is and that's why I got it.
