Thats a picture of our front speaker!! I thought I ordered premium speakers? I just couldn't put them back in after I saw how wimpy they were. 6 1/2 inch speakers fit fine with a spacer. Absolute minimum mounting depth with the window down (and no spacers) is 1 7/8". Im using a 1/2 inch spacer which should accomidate most speakers. The spacer I used is made for a 95-99 Dodge Neon, but most of the holes line up. A 1 inch spacer will most likely fit too. The factory speaker has a 1/2 inch spacer molded into it. If you chop out the cone from the basket, a 5 1/4 inch speaker will fit nicely as well. e!

You should see what the "standard" speakers look like -- paper cones with whizzers. One look at those and you'll know why they call these "premium".
