Default Smart Roadster... outside my building now!

Ok, I work for a certain automaker in Dearborn, MI. I see a lot of cool cars up close. For example, all last week there was a Ford Falcon GT-P outside, which blew my mind how cool it is. I drove a Falcon Fairmont Ghia, 5.4L 3V V8 Sedan, rhd, and beautiful interior. There was a Focus RS around for a while (the one that Sport Compact Car wrote about), plus new Mustangs, new trucks, Ford GTs, Mondeo ST220s, and too many prototype cars to list (nor would I, I don't want to get in to any kind of trouble). However this Smart Roadster has to be one of the coolest cars I have ever seen. It is so small, it made the Jag XKR parked next to it look like a supertanker. I cannot wait for this car to come to the States. I am trying to find someone to give me the keys as I write this, but I doubt it will happen.

Sorry, I have no pics. Just thought I would share with some people who appreciate cool cars.

Smart Roadster

I agree, I will bring the cam tomorrow to try and get some shots, but they will only be on production stuff. I do not want to get sued!!

"Low power/weight ratio"

Is that why it does 0-60 in 10 seconds?

Saw it at the Chicago auto show. No mention of fuel economy, just the crappy performance.

EDIT: They're bragging about a PWR of 8.3 kg/bhp.

That's about the same as a RS.

WRX ratio is < 6.2, for reference.

Right. Cuz it's all about how quickly you can go between stoplights.

I think it's time to start bringing a DigiCam to work everyday and have an official thread on the cool cars you see all the time.

I got one of those: Pics from my work's parking lot

I haven't taken any in a while, most of these are a year old.

Nice. I'd love to test drive one of those. For the rest of us who are Kw/Nm illiterate (as I am) here is a converter:

Indeed I will. I was about to go home to grab it, but the car was gone.

Seeing cool cars is about the only thing I like about my job.
