Anybody have a turbo RS in the San Diego area?

I am debating whether to get a MY00 RS and turbo it or go with a 93 RX-7 like I had before. A turbo RS sounds cool on paper but I would love to get a closer look, possibly a ride if possible. Anybody wanna convert me? Thanx!

Hmmm... What kind of turbo do you want there's Tim Prudences RS/ Legacy turbo conversion hybrid, TMR and Chung and there JC sports turbo rs's, Byron and his (If you can catch him) 2.2L legacy turbo impreza sedan rumored to run high 10's in the 1/4 and have over 500HP, and last but not least
Arik "tyrmeltr" Kadosh and his 98 Turbo legacy motored RS who will give you the craziest ride in an impreza...that isn't in a straight line (HEHEHEHE......Slideways

Take your choice as there will also be more here soon like my self hopefully (fingers crossed) and my 2.2L (auto yeah I know) and some others. Quite a few of us autoX at Qualcomm and Hollywood park if you want to meet some of us heck there's Kartboy who can show you that a N/A impreza can be fast too.

hey man, i know that the minnam kit is not CARB legal and i'm pretty sure the JC sports kit is too. There's only the possiblity of a supercharger right now.

Great! How do people with the turbo's pass smog? (besides the ol wad O greenbacks) I am more interested in fast Impreza 2.5RS's so I would know what I am getting in to (so to speak). I'll definatly be down at the Q when the next AutoX is announced, last I heard the new schedule had not been released yet.

I normally post meet's and event's on our site at www.scic.homepage.com . As for Smog you are exempt during the first 4 years on a new car and then with an AWD car I believe they can only do the old sniff and visual inspect test which after the turbo comes out next year will probably not matter. I am due for smog next year and I will let you know how it goes as I have an auto(FWD fuse but only for blowing the rear diff).

Long time no see Don. Leg's all right but still F'd up so who know's what they have planned. Car ummm well I am really wanting a manual and a turbo but I may have to do either or adn I still have alot of stuff waiting to be put on. We will need to hook up sometime. So when does your ITC come back?
