Wink

I would, but I got to go down to the courthouse and bail out my f-ing cousin for his 8th DUI. He would have been fine if he didnt try to out-run that cop with his Camero and crash through the front of the Wal-Mart. Boy, his wife's sure going to get a beatin' when he gets out, cause she left the bar with some other guy.

Hey! thanks for a pic of that car. i have never seen it but heard about it. That is either a 4 cyl or 6 cyl, I can't remember which. Even in the "Goodys Dash" series, bodies are severely restricted. The NEW Celica body has had to be really butchered to get the greenhouse to be pretty much like the old style that you see in the pic.

I snuck out of work today to attend the Practice and qualifying day here at MS. I left about 2pm and had fun driving down the gravel backroads on the way home. If I watch a race, it'sthe first 20 laps, the last 20, and catch the goofy show on Monday nights with Alan Bestwick on SV.

Hey now, don't be knocking NASCAR... I appreciate ALL motor-sports alike, incluing NASCAR! (I go to the Pocono Race every year.)

Besides, the days of "good-old boys" racing American-Muscle in that sport are numbered. Toyota will have an entry for the Busch Series in 2002 and a Winston Cup entry will follow. Other Japanese car makers have also expressed and interest in joining the sport. (Will Subaru be one of them?)

Yup, it won't be long from now when cars from Japan will be all over NASCAR. (I wonder how those "Good-old boy" will react to it.) It's going to be very interesting.

I'd laugh if Toyota came to NASCAR and "cleaned house"!!

It finally looks like the "old boys" from Detroit will actually have some real competition.
...other having it's right hand competing against the left...

Cleaning what house? The rules of NASCAR go for all cars, and they're very strict. I don't watch it any, but out where I live (30 min from Raleigh) it's fairly big, and even I know that the cars are held by strict regulation, making them nearly clones of each other.

NASCAR is like pro wrestling. It's as much drama as it is "sport".

I saw a NASCAR driver complaining about how dangerous the courses were and how more safety standards need to be adopted... I thought that was interesting...

As for Toyota... Man, you know anyone driving one of those, be it an American or otherwise, is going to get a lot of BS from probably 75 percent of the NASCAR community...

As for advantages: Those cars are so identical that the only advantages Toyota might have are better tolerances in their design... But it still will be interesting to see what happens...
