Cool Traded my 99RS for a 2001 Forester L

Yahoooo!

Traded my 99RS for a 2001 Forester L. No more urges to keep buying expensive import racing mods. Now all the SUV soccer moms dig me.

Might be selling some RS mods to you US guys soon. Sorry Canadians, I hate paper work.

I almost forgot, It's an Automatic also!!!

Mike

Cool

To answer RidinLow, Just seemed like the thing to do. Driving the RS was fun, but not practicle for what I need. Hey, I don't have a MAF anymore, maybe I can put an intake kit on. NO NO! I can't do it!!!

Nothing great, just a shift kit, tires, rear bar. Not ready to sell. I will post the parts in the I-Club classifieds which will be sold through Ebay, because to many people want to wheel and deal, and not actually buy the parts.

Fargo,
Finally someone who realizes that vehicles are purpose built. It gets me sick when people (who shall remain nameless from this board) preach that car A is the be-all-end-all of cars or trucks. I own a rodeo and an XT6, different cars for different purposes. Congrats on the 2001 Forester.

Doesn't the Legacy Outback Sport have more cargo space than the Forester?

The outback has more space, but it's curved, so getting boxes and stuff in it is harder. The Forester is boxier so hard items fit better.

Hey good job on the Forester. Now you can get ahold of the A-Spec grill, Japanese model hood with the scoop, custom interior, lower it a bit like the Japanese model, tint the windows, add the factory bodykit and your all set. There are alot of modified Foresters here in Japan. You still won't have the turbo engine but at least you won't blend in with the succer moms. The wife thought about one of those briefly before the S4 came out.

I have been reading the board for the past couple months and put $500 down on a Forester S Premium (love the moonroof). I intend to do a Minnam stage 2 kit when I graduate next May. Can you imagine the looks on the faces of the Z28's and Mustangs when they realize they got eaten up by a Forester? Syms races a Forester in the JTCC, so it shouldn't be impossible to make it at least a "middle of the road" handler...

My girlfriend is looking into buying a Forester I would love to see her driving around in a 240hp TC'ed Forester with some good rubber and a good suspension. I can already see the Explorers in the rearview.
