Default Any pictures of painted stock wheels (WRX)??

My wheels' paint is all chipped up and I want to do something about it. I am thinking of using that Duplicolor wheel coating in like gunmetal on the stockers. I was just wondering if it looks good. Thanks guys!

oh crap... I thought that was the paint peeling off. Did you paint them with the tires on them or off?? How is the coating holding up? Any possible way you could shoot me some pics after she is clean so I could get a handle on how it looks clean ??

Thanks either way!!!

I used Duplicolor Bumper Paint. It has extra adhesive qualities and it matches the factory side skirts perfectly.

I left the tires on but I put a very liberal amount of tire shine on them. That way the paint only gets on the shine and not the tires. I do have to touch them up every once in awhile from pressure washers and car washes (automatic type) but it only takes a minute.

I am guessing that you did sand the surfaces and all...? Ok, now to go read tutorial . I know how to paint, just never painted wheels. See, mbiker. I REALLY like that look. Just kinda darth vaderish without the constant need of polish and wax on black paint. I think if and when I do it I will use a bit lighter shade of black or like skooby did and go gunmetal and do the head light mod. I like the whole kinda badass stealthy look, hehe.

Yeah, it looks like you taped off the lip and either left it stock silver or painted it? I liked the replica polished lip look

we used fine line tape and carefully took the time to tape off the whole lip kind of a pain but well worth it. my buddy is an awesome painter/ body man he hooked me up for my b-day and did my wheels. I helped prep them, he painted them. that color is a huyndai color.
