Audiguy,
I've seen that one around too, but I don't think he is a member of this board. It is a very sweet ride though. Kalins1 '98 Glacier White OBS |

Yep, yep....Outback Sport....the underpowered U.S. wagon version of the RS. Ha ha.
What's an Audi? Just kidding. Hee hee. You don't happen to drive 70 in the morning do you? I'm always seeing a black Audi. |

Seventy? Nah, I'm not that slow!
Actually, I am on 315 and b/c of the 55 limit thanks to all the construction I do have to drive more slowly, but I'm rarely on I70 (I think that's what you really meant)."What's an Audi" <---- *LOL* funny, verrry funny! [This message has been edited by AudiGuy (edited August 15, 2000).] |

You drive 70 on 315!!!!!!!! No wonder I always see helicopters flying over that area. Ha!
Unfortunately, on I70, I slow down to 15mph when approaching downtown. It sucks! |

Kalins, where do you work downtown? And which way on 70 are you going in the morning - east (coming from west side) or west (coming from east side)?

He comes from the west side i do believe, as do I. I live on the west side and travel I70 every morning to go to school (DeVry) which is on the east side. I'm suprised that i never see either of you in the morning. I guess it is different timing. Mondays i am traveling at around 9:30-:45, tuesday and thursday 6:30-:45, and wednesday and thursday 7:30-:45. I dont' know when you guys are travelling, but i'll keep an eye out for you. I drive a red Brighton, obviously, with a Subaru banner ont he windshield and a "supra like" wing on the back as many have called it. So if you see me, go ahead and wave, if i see you i'll wave back.
Also up at Tuttle, there is also someone that works there that drives a blue RS, It is the rally blue i believe. It is always sitting way down in the parking lot in front of Lazarus i believe. I don't think the owner is a member of this board because i have posted about it a few times and never gotten a reply. If i ever remember to carry some post-it notes with me i might put the web address on it and stick it to their windshield. Any way, i'll keep an eye out for you guys and have fun in the wonderful Columbus rush hour traffic. Rob |

Rob is correct. I'm coming from the west and going downtown. I work for Franklin U. I am usually on I70 from 8:15 to 8:45. Luckily I don't mind sitting in my OBS. Now, if I had a Tiburon (HARD seats!), I'd be hating life!
My girlfriend lives in Worthington so I also spend a lot of time driving around up there and on I270 going towards the 161/33 exit. I've been seeing more and more Imprezas, but unfortunately, they haven't been the friendliest folks. Maybe they just dislike wagons? Ha ha! |

Kalins,
What do you do for Franklin? I know someone who works there (in admissions, I think). Her name is Kerri Kittrel. I work downtown part time but if I'm going down in the morning it's at 7:00 A.M. so traffic isn't as bad. RedBrighton - DeVry huh? You're one of those smart techno-geeks who jumped on the computer bandwagon in time to cash in aren't you? I'm sooo jealous!Hey, do you guys know how many Columbus people there are on this board? That NE Dinner idea got me thinking a bit .... |

Well actually i am majoring in Electronics Engineering Technology, not CIS, but it is still based a lot on computers and electronics is something i have always been interested in. Byt yeah, the cash is very very appealing to me.
![]() As to how many columbus people are on the board i woudl say about 8, give or take a few. When i was trying to get everyone together for the N.E. Ohio meet i got messages from about 8 people although only three of us could actually make it. But yeah, if any of you guys ever want to get together and go to dinner somewhere i am sure we could get a couple more people togehter for a little Columbus meet. I just love rush hour in the morning. Especially driving a standard. What fun. In the fall last year there was a wreck and it took me like an hour and 15 minutes to get the 10 miles to school and my left leg was cramping up because of the clutch. But i deal with it. Luckily it has never been that bad again. Just sitting in rush hour traffic isn't too bad with the seats in my car, but when i go home, a 260 mile journey, they tend to get a bit uncomfortable. But oh well, i still love my baby. Anyway, yeah if you guys want to get together sometime just drop me a line through a pm on here or feel free to e-mail me here vipergt2_98@yahoo.com See you guys around. Rob |

Red,
Unfortunately my daily driver - the ol' A4 - is an automatic. Truthfully, it really doesn't bother me too much. The RS is a stick and - when the wifey lets me drive it - I have tons o' fun in it. Actually, the way she drives I have tons o' fun as a passenger too . I've had a few manuals and they were a blast, but downtown traffic was getting to me and my cluch foot (I never did those exercises like on the old VW commercial). |

Audi,
Your wife actually drives well?? Most women don't! Ha ha! Just joking. Actually, my girlfriend drives her little Civic like an animal! She is probably even more aggressive than me in traffic. I do marketing for Franklin. Yep, I know Kari. She started here about six months ago I think and is finishing up her masters degree as am I. You are lucky Rob. I'm actually trying to move more into the e-commerce side of marketing so I too can cash in on some of that techno moola, but it is a very difficult world to break into. Techno geeks don't like us creative types. Ha ha! |

Finishing up a master's, eh? An MBA, I presume, since Franklin is a b-school. Yeah, Kari used to work where I work, but left for greener grass. Probably a good move, though it's just not the same without her here. I, myself, just sat for the Ohio bar exam and am anxiously awaiting the results while trying to find gainful employment. Life is so much fun! Oh, it seems like there's some interest perhaps in a central Ohio mini-GTG ... perhaps for a dinner or something. Perhaps we can start setting this up? |

Yeah, i think a little get together would be fun. I'm avaliable pretty much any time on the weekend. Week days are bad for me with school until 1 every day and then on the 28th, there will also be work every day from 3-9 so i don't really have any open time during the day, so a weekend would be better. So i think one of us should put up a post about this to see how much interest there is so we can decide where to go and when we can meet and everything.
