Post Same Mustang, different story (DOH!)

As before, black Mustang w/ white stripes, but this time with a twist. I was heading down the highway this afternoon and he pulled up next to me. Revving again. He rolled down his window and yelled over his bass "I'm gonna get you this time!" I said ok let's go, but just then some other guy in his Civic pulls up. I'm in the middle of the two and we all decide to race. The light had already gone green so we had to wait It was a decent looking Civic, White w/ nice rims and a nice body kit without some huge wing. The light went green and off we went. I had the early lead followed by the Civic and the Mustang. The Mustang caught me by the time I redlined in 2nd and the Civic was about half a length behind. As soon as we went into 3rd the Mustang and I were side by side. By 4th the Civic was gone, over 35 ft. behind (guessing). I looked at the guy in the Mustang and he waved, then the most painful sight I have ever seen, he planted his foot an blasted away, with a little chirp of the wheels He wasn't even trying I guess. Oh well, I still beat the Civic

These stories sound a little to far fetched for my taste, but hey if it happened, it happened.

Okay Hucker....

I raced a Mustang today. He revved his engine at me and when the light turned green, left me standing in it's smoke like I was standing still. Actually....I was. After helping my girlfriend load her stuff into the trunk, I got into the car, finally started the engine and caught the Mustang within a 1/4 mile down the road and left him a nice view of my Impreza tail pipe as he sat waiting for the "left turn" arrow to turn green.

I killed a MUSTANG....and it wasn't even raining! And with a FULL LOAD OF GROCERIES to boot!

Beat that sucka!

Don't mess with this puppy!

BTW, the Golden Gate Bridge is now owned by a few lucky members I sold it to.

Group buy on the Brooklyn Bridge! Just send me cash....not Monopoly money *ahem* Richard Squire!

Dropped the clutch at just under 3000rpm, like 2900 or 2850.

Dropped the clutch at just under 3000rpm, like 2900 or 2850. It was the best launch I think I've ever had. I wish the guy was trying, so I would actually beat him off the line

My best launch was at the autocross last weekend at 5,000 rpm - the RS really pushes you back in the seat and takes off. 2,800 rpm launches don't work well and you'll get beat a lot.

I don't have an aftermarket clutch yet, so I didn't want to blow it out. Just being cautious When I get one, I'll be flying!

I'm guessing this is a 3.8 litre Mustang, because if its not, you should get 1st place for ***** talking

Ok, you were loading your car full of groceries, caught up to him, and passed him when he was turning left?? Wow, you showed him.....lol

Your definition of "killing a Mustang"...Catching up to time within a 1/4 mile. You think he was actually trying? Then you passed him while he was turning, hrmm,,Hell I could say I killed everycar out there if I caught up to them, and passed them while they were turning...MY TRUCK IS A SUBARU KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I passed one yesterday.....while it was turning......

Not only that, Hucker, but I had 4 passengers, two kayaks, two bikes and towing a Ford F-150! That Mustang had no chance....even though that light takes 3 minutes to turn green. Oh yeah.....I passed a Porsche Boxter....while it was parallel parking. He knew he was overmatched and tried to hide between a Yugo and a Geo Metro.

I'm the big dawg 'round these parts!
