Post The funky plastic things...

Soooo...
My MY00 RS has these three plastic clips on the back of the rear deck...Anyone know what these are for?
I do know that the clips are held on by screws...that also happen to hold the back deck "carpet" on. Other than that it looks like they are designed to hold something like a sun shade or ???
Anyone?

They are on all MY2000 cars sold in the US - they are anchors for baby seat tethers.

Wink

Yeah I noticed those when I first picked up my 2000 at the dealer. They told me the same thing as earlier post, about being baby seat tethers. I asked the sales guy if they were strong enough for racing harnesses! He cringed and then gave me the old "they might be strong enough but we cannot recommend anything like that.....". Damn.

Well they ARE structural and Im currently working on a drawing to make a harness bar that will use all three lugs after the tabs are removed for the baby seat hangers.

It will require the wrap around style harnesses rather than the 'clip in' style
