How do I replace the orange indicator bulb for the fog light button? Button still functions...the light doesn't.
Thanks.

take the switch out IIRC you can get to the bulbs from the back of the switch.
you might have to pull it apart. Might be easier to just change the switch. Jay |

Do I have to pull the lower dash portion out to remove the button?

Did this last week. Take off the lower dash panel, it makes it easier. 3 or 4 screws, 2-3 on the bottom and 1 on the side. From there you can get to the switch, disconect the harness and push forward. Switch pops out. There are actually 2 bulbs in the switch and you can remove them from the side using a flat head screwdriver. The upper one is the orange one. The bulb is tiny and I had to go to the dealer to get it. ($2-3) Something to note too...the bulb is actually clear with a orange rubber cover. I needed to take off my original cover and put it on the new bulb, I reused the "rubber"... Anyways, I ended up tearing the cover but got it on the new one and it looks fine. So to save you some trouble check and see if the dealer has bulbs with the cover already on. added image Last edited by Scooby Blue; 03-15-2004 at 09:59 PM. |

the replacement switch is $27 from a dealer. i'm not sure how much the bulbs are..
i was able to get at mine by removing the fuse door. for the actual switch, to pop it open you have to pry both sides over the tabs at the same time, and pull it down.. mine had clear bulbs, and green film on the lens... i scraped off the green, and used some red bulb condoms... |
