Hi Matt, how much in total did it cost you to install? Are you using Minnam or JC sport? Have you got times (1/4 mile, 0-60 etc...)?

Yeah, what is the point of blocking your plate? Superdj, it is a Minnam Stage II. Rallispec installed it, it was like 300 to install. I don't have any times presently, because I have a problem with first gear. It is being replaced under warrenty BTW, thats DonA's black RS next to mine.

I think it is to protect ur personal driver info and address. I was told of this scarey incident where on a UBB a guy's car was stripped clean that way. Knew exactly what he had and how to remove it.

They're covering your transmission under warranty with a turbo?? They don't mind that you increased your torque output by 50% at the tranny? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

So your the 80 year old tech. saying "Its modified, you can't warrenty it!" It had nothing to do with the added HP. It is a problem with MY99 trannies. There was even a bulletin on it. Man I thought you guys would be on my side.

Have a Nice Day?

I don't think he's against you but turbo's usually do void the warranty.

MattC ~~ Looks like another fantastic installation by RalliSpec! Once you get the tranny problem straightened out you'll have to give it a good run at Atco to see what times you get. I'm wanting to turn my boost up to 7-8psi, but I think I need to get the Bell RR FPR first. My EGTs look good, but I'm too worried to just do it when the A/F meter readings go too low.

One question: where's that vacuum line running on the left towards the front of the car? It's T'd just near the clamp between the intake pipe and the MAFS sensor. Just curious.

Ahhh... that's the car I was drooling over. I thought something looked a little out of place (intercooler). Did a little more poking around and noticed the turbo install. Proceeded to immediately start drooling... not on the car of course.

I was sitting in the VW field watching your car go out and listening to it. Very nice.

Congrats on a sweet car.

Hello MattC,

If you get a chance, stop over at Atco tonight (Tuesday). They are running the Gamblers/Street races and it may be a good time to get some baseline runs. I should be coming up tonight but don't expect much from me. My car is shifting like a dog now. L8Rs

Steve,
Thats the J&S knock sensor. There was no place to mount it with the given bolt. So, Dave cut the bolt off and welded up a smaller one. Thats the whole reason I didn't install it myself, I couldn't find a place to mount the sensor. And people ask me why Rallispec does my work
About Atco, I live 20-25 minutes from englishtown so thats where I usually go. But, if we can get a group of us down to Atco I'll go. Its a bit of a hike for me. Listen to me complain, Adam is 3 hours farther than I am.

Matt ~~ It can't be the J&S. Reread what I asked? What's the VACUUM line for?

One of the vacuum lines goes to the boost controller and the other goes to the cruise control. It is relocated right above the abs.
