Next Sunday is club practice #2 - hope to see everyone there.

The schedule:

Registration and Tech Inspection: 7:00am to 8:45am.
Driver's Meeting: 9:00am
First car out: 9:30am

well...depends on how you think, 20 bucks for an autoX event, but.... much more expensive on track day

to me autox and track are equally fun. But track has more adrenaline rush due to the higher risk and spd and passing. It also needs more driver effort: heel toe downshifting, checking mirrors, heeding course flags, etc.

i really like mission; it's really challenging and the walls on some exits really test your nerve and skill.

PIR is longer and faster but i don't like it any better. It is much friendlier and better paved tho.

yeah track is a lot pricier but it comes w/ lots more seat time, and not having to run for your life after cones =).

$20 for about 5 minutes of track time at an autocross.
$140 for about 80 minutes of track time at a track day.

Hard to argue the Math Kelvin, however I think most of the people out auto-xing don't have $180 to spend for one day. For them it is more value to stretch that over a whole season.

I hear ya.
Since I work 1/2 of all weekends I need to get maximum seat time in when I can. Had fun autocrossing for years, now I just prefer track days.

I hope to be the same, I'd like to start tracking this year as the auto-x events are getting a little tired. But I think it is a great way to get into the racing scene without unloading a lot of cash.

Yeah I think for seat time, track days will get you more. But I can't afford more than 2 or 3 weekends of that before I run out of cash.
