Default putting turbo hood on regular baja?

someone put the baja turbo hood on legacy and it looks great.
and I also want to put turbo hood on my car I don't think I will have problem with fitting. What do you think about this?
by the way, what is the scoop insert?

A turbo hood will fit perfect, any dealer will order you one. Mike at Belknap Subaru, NH, www.subaruxtras.com, is my parts guy.

that's true, it will work without any problem. there are a couple parts: the scoop, the hood, and maybe a plate of some sort to seal the opening if you are not turbocharged.

As I recall, it was you Chris N that helped me find one in the first place.

Thanks again

Or, stick a cone filter right on the throttle body, remove the long tube, and leave the scoop open, for a cold air charge.

just an unproven idea

Does anyone know where to get a carbon fiber hood??? that OEM hood is the heaviest one I ever had.... loose the hood and the tailgate and the spare and you can shave off at least 100lbs...

This is the largest hole I found.
http://www.arcinter.co.jp/carbon.html
It's a dry carbon, and costs about $200 (not sure if they ship overseas - I can find out if you are serious). It's an attachement, that you don't need to cut existing hood scoop.

Here is another angle.

Bone-headed ARC rep in Japan insists that I go through a distributor channel in the states. None of such distributors listed carry ARC (), or some have gone belly up (or something). I looked at yahoo Japan auction, and there was one - but the sender said he won't ship it overseas. What's up with their overseas fobia (but then again it's a pretty typical Japanese reaction)...

Do any of you know ARC distributors in your region? I think they are known in intercooler business here in the states...
