One hurt in runaway dump truck accident

COQUITLAM(CKNW/AM980) -- One person has been hurt in a runaway dump truck accident in Coquitlam.

The Mounties say the truck was parked on a hill when it started rolling down the hill without a driver.

The Transport Ministry is now investigating how the accident happened.

Witnesses suggest it was like a scene out of a movie.
Looks like it was a run-away dump truck! Crazy. Poor pickup and Del Sol. Innocent bystandards.

Anybody see the accident on #1 highway? Three cars. An Integra needed the roof chopped to get the people out. One car flipped. Ambulance, firetrucks, police were all over

There was a driver in that white truck and he was drag along in it. The guy said he was in for coffee and came out and the truck was gone. 50 bucks on brakes that aren't set properly or even fixed. Look like the West Van accident all over again.

yeah saw it on the news... one of the witnesses said the truck was rolling over and over in front of the dump truck and stopped when it got crushed against the tree... when everything stopped the driver of the white truck popped his head out of the window and was yelling for someone to get him out!
