TireRack seems to be having a ridiculous sale on Michelin Pilot Sport tires in 235/40/17. They are well below %50 off normal retail! In fact, they seem to be cheaper than any other competitive tire in that performance class. Just thought i'd pass along the info...

Michelin found that their inventory control missed a couple hundred tires in the "first in / first out" shipping method and offered the tires to us at a discount since they were produced in 1999 and the balance of their inventory was produced in 2003 or 2004. We took those tires and the discount they came with and passed it on to our customers

Sounds like a great deal, but I just hope that people who got those tires were informed that they were really buying 5 year old "new" tires that are probably going to have significantly reduced life.
