Ok, I recently walked into Car Trenz on Rockville pike and Yul Shin was there, and its obvious that something different is going on, as the place is cleaned up and more oganized, and right off the bat, someone ( Yul ) greeted me and was very helpful. We will do some business together and the guy couldnt be more on the right track.

I am in Baltimore and he is in Rockville,47 miles apart, there is very little overlap in our product lines, so were both Prodrive retailers in this tough market. I cater more to a track/auto cross customer,who maybe is more into preparing his or her car for the track day events. Maybe people should just realize that things change , even for the better some times, as this place is going up in my opinion. This is my response after witnessing the changes first hand, I cant see anyone knocking Yul if they go there.

Wow!! There seems to be a lot of mixed emotions about Car Trenz in Rockville. I hope this reply will help people understand what is going on.

Hello NASIOC, my name is Yul Shin. I am the new owner of Car Trenz in Rockville, MD. I would first like to thank Myles of racecompengineering.com of informing me of what had been taking place.

I purchased Car Trenz in November of 2003. Since then, I have remodeled the store, brought back a lot of items that were not in inventory, and tried to bring back "customer service". I would hope that you as educated consumers would understand that stores do change ownership and along with that, the service, pricing, what have you.

I would hope that you would give my store a second try, and maybe we can change your impression of us.

We are an authorized Prodrive dealer, along with Volk, Injen, Tanabe, and a bunch of other companies. To be completely honest, I am not too knowledgeable about Subaru. I deal mostly with Honda/Acura and BMW. I would hope you would understand that when and if you were to come in. I do know that I can give great pricing. Thanks. I had some less-than-great experiences with the former ownership too, but nothing catastrophic. They were pricey, but they also gave excellent advice about stuff. I've got some obscure JDM interior bits I'm after, so I'll be by the store in the near future to see if you can hunt some of them down for me.

I met Yul today at their store, very friendly and very helpful. I wasn't looking for a particular item yet he answered all of my questions. I even got some nice Prodrive brochures to drool over.
