search up "Prodrive wheels" or something like that, then start sifting, I guess. It is hard sometimes, especially with everyone screaming "DO A SEARCH, n00b!"

Can't search for STi, JDM, GC8, GM6, etc. either. Makes it more fun that way.

You can always try to NOT space words too. Some people have a bad habit of not doing that, and it will show up in a search.

Example: scoobysport, prodriveP7

It may or may not work for your application, but its another thought.

It REALLY sucks when you are looking for a string of 3 letter words.

Hm... STi SPT V7 JDM kit ... I am screwed!

It would be handy to be able to search for 3 letter words- PM Nick and see if he'll allow it- only takes a minute in VBulletin.

If 2 letters were allowed for a search many more topics would show up and quite possible bog the system down.

It woud be great to remove some of the search restrictions (30 seconds, etc...). I wonder why vBulliten sites are so user unfriendly by default? I wish the software designers (not the site owners!) would realize if your search doesn't work like google, you are doing something wrong.

the reason there are search restrictions is because of A) the traffic, B) the number of threads C) some other variables i cant remember.

i board as big as this that allowed constant searching of small strings would grind to a halt. We've seen it happen before.

I do feel some of that flaw is in the software though, I know it is out of the hands of the guys running this site. Its just that every vbulliten site is like that and other forum software isn't. I would think some redesigns on the back end could improve the searching, which is the weakest point of vbulliten.

That is a great idea! Thanks fliz. It's always bugged me that you can't search for "TS"... this problem has come up before, but I've never seen anyone come up with a good answer.

My board runs on VBulletin and it's infinitely adjustable in most aspects. I'm sure that a site this big has settings like that to not bog down the servers.
