Default I can't stop spending money on my car

I just bought a used JDM STi V7 intercooler from another IBMer. It is 40% larger than stock WRX and 15% larger than USDM STi.

I don't really need it right now since I have the stock turbo, but I got a heck of a price and it certainly won't hurt my performance.

My next mod is going to be the chastity wallet. It will have a heavy duty lock and only open when I'm in grocery stores.

I'm with ya bro, I just plunked down about $1500 for a used turbo and tmic, and new injectors/pump.

Now for the labor and tuning.

I think those bump your A/C lines, so you might have to shift them a bit.

don't even get me started on this topic, i had 10-12k EASILY in a car that only dyno'd at 241/246 - but a lot of it was on cosmetics, sunroof, leather, etc.... Now I just bought an STI and i've managed to not mod a damn thing

yet....

I was considering spending a lot on my car, but I bought a new road bike instead. In a way, I'm *saving* money! That what I tell my wife, anyway.

Yeah, I read something about that too. I'm a bit concerned that the strut tower bar will have to go when the TMIC arrives, but not too concerned because the strut tower bar doesn't really do much anyway.

Its an 03. I have considered saving up a bit each month to put towards a strong transmission, but I'll probably end up taking care of that when I need to do it. Hopefully I won't ever have to deal with that problem.

That wasn't me...

I don't think I've ever dumped my clutch. I have made it smell a bit funny though, but better to burn clutch than to break gears.

I just realized that I can use my money better elsewhere (unless I get a hell of a deal on something)... its all about where your priorities lie.

I have to keep my car for a while, so I might as well dump a couple k here, couple k there to keep me happy

Maybe in 5 - 6 years I'll be wanting a new car, and who knows what'll be out by then.

the STi definately curbed my modding... so far only a pulley (payment for labor), floormats (birthday gift), and pink "i" badge (christmas gift)...
