Oem 02 Wrx Alarm

Anybody knows if the OEM 02 WRX security system or the 2000 Legacy Security system will work on an 01 RS?
I can't find this info. I even called the dealer and they wouldn't help me.

Any info will be appreciated.

The systems were changed for 02 so it won't be compatible with an '01. The '00 system might but I don't know for sure.
