Default Do you need to cut into the trunk for a rear strut bar?

I was wondering if I get a rear strut bar would I need to cut into the trunk carpet. I really wouldn't want to.

Nope. . .unless you install a Cusco V-brace, then you'll have to drill in to the trunk floor and cut 2 holes into the carpet for the bottom of the brace. But just the STB alone doesn't require any cutting.

If you have a sedan no cutting required. If you've got a wagon, it depends on the strut bar.
