Default Removal of lidded dash pod on '03 Forester

Has anyone pulled the lidded dash pod from their Forester? I need to remove the entire pod (lid and bottom assembly) to install the Sirius docking cradle. If you have let me know how you did it, as I am adverse to the "pray and pull" method of part removal.

thanks
Bob

Looks like it's just held in place with side tabs...

We just pulled on mine to get it out. Worked just fine.
