Question I still don't have a swaybar setup (what about this one?)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2468257852

I spotted this on ebay today, and was surprised to see that it comes with both front and rear swaybars. They also both look adjustable, which I like.

So, what do you think about the setup?
Is it worth it?
Or should I wait for someone locally to PM me with prices on their used stuff?

Looks likea Whiteline knock off to me, and for a decent price, I'd get it.

160USD + 32USD Might be more for shipping tho...
= 192 USD.

192 USD = (if currency is 1USD : 1.35CDN) Around $259.00

Not done yet. If the guy is cool enough, make him write $30 bucks or cheaper, you can get away with customs. If not, custom could be a real pain in the arse... No idea how much customs would be, can't help you there.

Then what about the "clear custom fee"? i heard thats what kills you...

someone from this board bought a front replica strut bar from the states, it's listed price is $28 USD, and it worked out to be $200 CDN to his door.

Amayzing eh?

Yea, that's the last part of my last post.

28USD... to 200CDN. Man, that guy must've declared that the item was worth over a 100 USD or something.

I have no idea how big the package is, but if it's just a long rectangular (but thin) box, I guess saying that the item worth $30 bucks isn't too bad

I'm serious, this is a member from the local board, I was shocked when he told me that it's 28 USD strut bar became ~$200 CDN after tax, duty, H&S, clearing custom fees, etc.

I feel bad now for going off topic, but what's the difference between those $20 Ebay struts and the $150 Cusco ones?

Did you know that pdm racing carries swaybars? The swaybars are of the whiteline variety, and they're local as well. You should go check out Vancouver's "Premier" car tuning shop. I heard they also have a 4 wheel dyno and top of the line Hunter wheel and tire machines which I'm sure should be hooked up by now. Just thought I'd give a heads up.

Wow that's some shameless advertising TMR

BTW you guys do alignments for BMW and how much?

Seriously, 50 CND for a pair of knock offs plus tax and shipping and all the other stuff, may as well pick up a set of Whiteline locally.

what in the world do you mean by shameless advertising? i don't have an alignment machine, though, you may want to try out either Dale's alignment or go to Johnny at Advance Automotive.

I guess only myself, and a select few other people can appreciate TMR's sarcastic wit. I personally hate to go a day without seeing it, but it's lost on a great many others. Once again, you started my day on the right foot.

Hey TMR, come out to the wings racers night on Thursday, I'll buy you a beer. PM me for more info, or check out IC/RS.

For your alignment needs, check out Dale's in Langley. I saw Jason driving his WRX in today, and it's almost worth the drive down, just to see it. Plus, I can trust a guy to work on my car, when he has one of his own.

I'd pay extra to not have to support the local Whiteline rep. Hell, I'd rather order Whiteline from the US, pay the additional charges, and still not have to support the local distributor.

And really, we're talking about a freeking piece of steel here, it's not brain surgery. To pay $500 for a set of front and rear bars would be a crime. hypa needs a new turbo yo!

Don't see the link on IC, and I don't go to RS. Better not be in the ******* boons foo....! Conversley, you could just dropship right from Whiteline Australia, or check out ST or some American company, as last I checked, they had the same shiet. BTW, make sure you setup an appointment and get your car on the 4wdyno, as I'd like to see your car pull some big numbers at Vancouver's "Premier" tuning garage. The "shop car" should be sick - I heard they have a sil-80!

Nah - I've decided that I'm gonna have very little use with a full-on FR/DH rig. Yah, I know.....sounds very ghey, but I can't justify the time to go shore riding all the time. I'm probably gonna order a set next week.....Marathon SL's . Money's also been tight, and I've been suffering from a bit of the columbian cold .

TMR, you don't know biking until you've conquered the Delta Watershed in all her glory If you and Kevin decide to head out to Whistler, please do me the courtesy of posting it up. I have no friends, and want dearly to ride with others who share my love of beer, and riding.

Tora, I'm glad you weren't completely turned off to the industry from your past experiences. All I know is that I'm back in sales and making good cash. I just hate what I do.

Hey TMR, I'm waiting for the inevitible "never even opened" asset sale. I just want a sweet set of corner weight scales And btw, the wings night is in the heart of Langley, and Montanas. If you need a place to set upo basecamp, I can offer you a couch since I know Langley is so far away

How could they not be? About a year and a half ago the owner was telling everyone it was just a matter of a few weeks. Sure there may have been a short delay or two here and there there... If they weren't open wouldn't there be a lot of expensive equipment just sitting around?

Anyone that knows anything about business would definitely be using those assets to make big money.
