Legacy 2.5i

Default FS: 1997 Impreza "2.5RS" SEDAN (with mods)

i have my 1997 Impreza 2.5 RSfor sale... its got an extremly long list of mods... the biggest of which is the MY99 2.5 SOHC motor in it.
it started as a 2.2 AWD 5speed... now its got a 2.5, so its basically a "2.5RS"
car itself has 138K miles on it..motor only has about 53K
no.i WONT part out unless i find a buyer who doesnt want to part things him/herself...

ASKING $7600, OBO

The Mod List:

BODY:
22B CF adjustable wing
A-Pro Grille ( one of 3 in USA..one of 2 that is actually known to be on a car)
2.5RS hood, with 22B vents
MY01 2.5RS front bumper with mesh fog light covers
--not currently on car, but can be--
Rear spats with auro-guards (can be removed)
front n00b OEM outer lip modded to fit RS bumper (can be removed)
PIAA "extreme HID" headlight bulbs with LIFETIME warranty(thru me..)
Yugo Red/clear taillights
clear sidemarkers "tinted" black
clear front corner lamps w/ orange bulb(so its 100% legal
n00b wheels/tires(silver..$200 extra if you want the gunmetal ones shown)
BRAKES/SUSPENSION:
n00b front Brake system
30K old Power Steering rack(original started leaking at 130K)
KYB AGX adjustable struts
Apex lowering Springs
n00b rear swaybar(20mm) with whiteline endlinks
ebay-special front strut brace(painted black)

ENGINE:
MY99 2.5RS SOHC motor - 53,xxx miles
motor runs off old 2.2 ECU, has Rallispec designed idle-control system
Unorthodox Racing Underdrive crank-pully
Borla Generation 4 headers
Stromung cat-back (2.25" stainless, dual-tip)

INTERIOR:
2.5RS "checker" or "Carbon Fiber" design seats, front and rear
red guage cluster lighting
optional "L" armrest extension(you dont wanna know what it had before i got this..lol)
Autometer dual pillar pod with Nordskog Digital oil PSi guage(needs new $50 sending unit) and Autometer air/fuel guage
(pillar and gauges are optional...was planning on removing them)

MAINTENANCE:
Redline Synthetic gear oil in trans and rear diff since 115K, Mobile 1 synthetic before that(from 66K when i got the car)
Head Gasket replacement at 125K miles, (MY99 coolant leak fix)
Coolant changed with H.G's, added Redline Water Wetter at this time.
oil changes every 3K miles, Purolator filters.
fuel filter changed at 100K,
spark plugs changed at 120K
drive belts are 15 months old
alignments done every 10K or so miles(im a mechanic...when im bored, i align my car, , i use MY00 2.5RS sedan specs)
struts and springs were installed around 100K miles..still working great.
i think thats about it... if anthing else comes to mind i will post it up.

OTHER STUFF TO KNOW:
this is a 97L.. it has rear drum brakes(for now)
it has the 97 2.2 Tranny... better gear ratios, better acceleration than a 2.5RS.
to your insurance company, its a 2.2 litre...meaning CHEAP insurance!... like $50 less than an RS a month !!! seriously...

you see paint chips on the front bumper....its getting a brand new bumper very soon...so that will take care of the chipping issue.

car is located in the tri-state area... about 40 minutes South-southwest of Philadelphia, test drives welcome...
PM for details. NO email!!!
PICS IN NEXT POST

it can be shipped....

only difference from a real RS is dashboard(no top storage bin thingy), no ABS, and no rear disc brakes(possibly comming)

SOMEONE'S GOTTA BE INTERESTED..?

anyone?

just got home about an hour ago from a AWD dyno that is right by me... here's the results (last time there was a Dyno day there, my car was up being test-driven by Americanyouth....so i decided to take it up today to see how it was doing.)

top pic shows first 2 runs, Power and Torque,
2nd pic shows same measurements on 3rd and 4th runs(though it say run 5)

and last pic shows power and A/F ratio on my 2nd and 3rd runs...
suprisingly im not running full rich like i though i would be...

I'm very interested in it, pending a test drive and me selling my STi. I'll PM you later, but I have to go to a meeting.
