Exclamation The ventilation fan thread...

We've got many small restrooms here at work. One of them is conveniently 5 feet from my office door. Good!

It has two urinals and one full stall, kind of cramped but there's normally no one in there except myself. Peacefull. Good!

It has two switches on the wall: one for the vent fan that sucks air to the outside world, the other for the lights.

For some unholy reason, someone keeps turning OFF the vent switch. So when I go in there, half the time I'm greeted with an unholy stagnant breath of air, as whatever lingering odors have slowly permeated the whole room. Bad!

WHY, GOD, WHY?!?!

I think I'm gonna duct tape the switch on.

I usually put up a fake management sign in those cases. We had a heat problem in the last office. I stuck a door jam under a door, stuck a sign on it, Please leave open - mgt

It stayed open, sheep I tell you, they are all sheep.

Because it wastes power. How very short-sighted of you to put your own odorous happiness above the future of our very fragile environment!

This little building draws more power than most small towns

The lights keep dimming around here as they boot up more and more giant computer racks to get them set up for SPAWAR deployment.
