ive only seen a picture of it once, its a top mount intake for a 2.5 rs, i heard its made by gravel sports, it basically takes place of an intercooler under the hood scoop for n/a cars, and also, what about when it rains? think it will affect anything?, just let me know what you think, thanks, kyle

yes its called the gravelsport intake and it costs a load about 270 + for it. supposingly a K&N filter will reject some of the water but to me depending on the amount of water falling it could bit you in the ass, thats what i think

I dunno...I had it on for several months now...drove car through rain storms and such...no issues. *knock of wood*...I would think its safer than those AEM CAI...since I don't think the gravelsports intake will suck up puddles of water.

Rain (droplets) shouldn't be much of a problem, unless it's a big long trip from Seattle to Miami
![]() Submerged with water such as a splash is NOT good and/or potentially dangerous. Which is why those fender CAIs are prone to this problem. Any amount that may replace the entire air stream going into the intakewill equal bad. Rain drops don't do that. Actually, water injection is used in some cars to increase power. So you might feel a power incrase from the result of the rain. Now the downside is of course the filter would get dirty 3 times as fast. -paK +3 |

![]() What I'm saying is submerged which is about 2 feet/24". Again it's the air volume that was intended to fill the intake parameters that matters. As long as there is a significant amount of air present when in does enter intake, there should be no problems during the run. All in all, there should be no big problems running an IC type or CAI if you abide to driving paved roads. -paK +3 |

I've been running an intake that's open to the hoodscoop for a few years and no problems. Then again, I live in sunny california so there isn't alot of exposure to the rain.
