oooo.... we're talking about STi here.... it varies with the offset of your rims if u concern about rubbing.
There is a thread dedicated for wheel and offset for STi in the wheels section.
245/40 will be great on it. You could do a 35 series but I think 40 is ideal. You could probably squeeze a 255 on there but I think 245 is the way to go. What wheels did you get?
What tire are you running? Usually, the manufacturer has a width range, and "ideal" width. 235's should be nice though, as depending on the tire, you'll most likely avoid ballooned sidewalls that'll contribute to "mushiness".
still deciding on the tires. ill probabaly go with bridgestone S03s. unless someone can recommend a better tire.
how do the yokohama avs sport compare to it?
or maybe i can get the re070s that come with the sti in other sizes?
id like the widest possibel so if its possibel to have 245s on without any problems like rubbing or ballooning then ill go with that. i did a search and there doesnt seem to be any 245/35/18 size tires. only 245/40/18 or 245/45/18. i guess 245/40/18 it is.
im waiting for my prodrive gc05fs to arrive. i wish they would hurry. still at least a month away.
as for the m. it has 275/30/20 now. the 285/30/19s started rubbing after i lowered the car.
Aren't the RE070s crap in the wet? I remember my dealer complaining about the demo STi in the rain because of those tires. Perhaps with less HP they are safe tires?
