Default Fuse tap for Boost gauge

I've been searching for quite some time and no where has really explained how to tap into a fuse into the fuse box very well. I tried for about 1 hour to figure it out plugged in the Boost gauge electrical wire into both inserts, then one and then other... even put a current meter in the darn thing and got nothing... I tried to tap the boost guage electric into 2 different fuses, the lights and the fog lamps. Nothing worked.

So I sat down and thought for a good 10 minutes. Thinking since I have a good ground it couldn't be that... then I was thinking, well could the wire have a loose connection somewhere? Nope.

Someone please help me out with this,

Takumi

Oh and by the way its a mechanical Boost gauge so yeah

Why not just tap the clock harness or stereo harness? That would be much quicker.

fuse taps look ghetto expecially when a subaru tech looks in there and sees 3 of them...
i like using the 3m line taps with an inline fuse holder...
and personally, i would not go off the stereo line for anything ther than your head unit.
