Exclamation Rammed by a Civic!!!

You all know how these little drag races start so I won't tell you all over again. Anyways the guy seemed nice enough, but when I started to pull ahead, he cut into me! He took out my back end and I ended up in the centre divider (grass) and the guy drove off!! The left rear of my bumper is dented in, and the front end got ripped up when I went off the road. It's gonna cost me $1200 to get it fixed! What kind ofdriver would ram his opponent because he's losing (I know about Schumacer in F1 a while ago ). Those kind of people don't deserve to have a license.

What an a$$-munch!

People like that should not be allowed to have a license, I agree.

Yea man, file a police report asap. Then call around to local body shops and see if they have any civics with front end damage. If this was in a cruising area where the guy is likely to frequent, I'd go back on a friday or saturday night to look for him.

I did call the cops, but because I didn't have the plate number or a very good description of the car + driver, there wasn't a good chance of getting him - good idea about the bodyshops though. I'm going to try that!

JackWei - You know where Vic General hospital is? The highway right next too it. There's a stoplight if you head south towards downtown

I think you kind of asked for it. Not being run off - that's just plain criminal. People get killed street racing all the time, and that could have easily have been your last launch. Everybody who drops the hammer is responsible for what goes on afterward. Not that I don't get into a little mix-up now and again, but I'd hardly feel like a victim if things went haywire. That's what being unprofessional is all about. Keep it on the track, and I doubt it'll happen again.

That being said - The other guy is not just a problem driver - You HAVE to go to the police. If he's running you off the road one minute, god knows what he'll do next. Just don't give people like that a shot at you.

Exclamation

It was a red CRX (looked like and '98) with clear tailights and indicators. Silver rims - and that's about all I noticed.

What do you mean by wanting a ride?

And yes, you're right it is kinda my fault for racing. But even so, people do it all the time and I've never heard of somebody taking another person out because he's losing. That's just plain stupidity. If I had been at the track, the car would have hit the wall very, very hard. I would have lost the the EJ20 for sure In fact, the car would have been totaled...

Maybe you might want to do some survellance (sp?) on some of the Honda boards to see if this yahoo is bragging about it. If he's stupid/ignorant enough to side-swipe you, I wouldn't put it above this idiot to brag about it.

cvalle-sd - Quit being stupid. No street racing isn't right, but contrary to popular belief it CAN be done safely. It wasn't 22B_WannaBe's fault he got hit and he DEFINITELY wasn't asking for it. Besides, this all sounds like a stop light drag rather then a street race where it goes on for miles.

Think before you post in rage and we'll all be happier around here.

Oh come now I'm sure there is a fellow RS owner in your area who could help you out in making a similar statement to the police. Especially if you find the A-hole at a body shop.
That or you could "Bag and Tag" him. Come up to him in a dark parking lot and throw a burlap bag over his head and club the crap out of him. Sure its illegal but all he gets to see is the inside of the bag.
Do you have a good camera? If so let's make some photoshop't pictures of him and post them on the ClubSi board and at the local school, college, grocery stores.
A box of Moth Balls down the old gas tank is a good way to let him blow an engine.
Paintball gun and jawbreakers work really well also.
Nah wait go out and buy a old beat up truck for a couple hundred dollars and them find his car in a parkinglot and ram the hell out of it. Its not like your worried about damaging your truck.
Wonder if somebody could send you Fire Ants through the mail? Then leave the ants in his car. Don't worry the ants will find him.

Hey NA, lets not get out of hand. There is no need to hurt his car, it was an innocent victim. Kick the crap out of him, but leave the car alone.

I remember one time I was driving in my Legacy and a kid walking on the sidewalk threw a pinecone at my car. I scared the crap outta him when I drove up on the sidewalk and parked sideways in front of him. He ended up apoligizing after I threw him against a fence and started cussing, so I didn't kick his ass. If someone hit my car on purpose and I found them, they'd probably be in the hospital.

Only good thing about this is that now it gives me an excuse to get a new front underlip spoiler - any suggestions?

And I haven't seen anything on ClubSI about the incident, and no local bodyshops have had a Red CRX in in the last week

The police are looking for him (supposedly) but I haven't heard anything back yet...
