'cuz according to ALL manufacturers people in America (Canada-u.s.) DON'T like small turboed motors and prefer less powerful bigger motors with auto trans...

forget about the emissions bull*****... those are LIES...

280bhp+ in a 2000cc... that's the life for me

i even test-drove an S4 and it's not even close to be as much fun, and lets not talk about the crapy hadling of the S4 compared to the RSK...

the car is simply amazing and at about usd$30K, it's a steal

sorry Richard, i couldn't...

it was too steep to buy (although i could have pulled it off) but i just couldn't see myself paying for ANY repairs or service for it and quite frankly that car cannot be anything else than a second car...

in a few years mabe...

they'll take almost anything for it though, if you're stll interested...

let me know...

BTW, i'll be back in Canada at the end of this month and could pass by Seatle during the month September...

ownly, emissions is bull*****. My friend's non-EGR Thunderbird SC with an aftermarket cam, exhaust, intake, and injectors just passed emissions with flying colors, with no cats. I'm sure a foreign car with cats could do much better.

Question

Ownly, I envy you. In your opinion, what are the chances that the US might get the B4? If the new Impreza is a bust, it seems possible. Can the twin turbo engine meet US emissions?

BTW, the B4 seems like an S4 killer.

IMO, I think Subaru should bring over the B4 and the WRX (as they are), just to boost image. Who cares if they make little money on them, (or even lose a bit), having super car killers (well, the STi versions), should do wonders for their image.

Uhm, the B4 RSK runs rings around that pudgy S4! DId I say that there are wagons too?! No one cares about the S4 in Europe or Asia where you can get a B4 RSK!

Question

OK, someone help me out here. Canada has a population of 31 million, we have a population of 300 million or 10 times that. Even if SOA/SOJ think most of the slugs in the US market are big displacement, boat driving idiots, wouldn't they still think a market this size could sell at least as many B4/RSKs as Canada? Good grief this is depressing!

hell no it's not fair but where there's a will there's a way...

importing one for parts and converting to LHD and swtching the VIN #... it's all possible, the heaviest fator in all this is time, it would take about two months to do it all if you plan it right and that's the worst part...

it would be the coolest car in the whole countey though

can someone please do it ? pleeeeeease ?

hee hee

hey ownly, how are you mounting your Evo's in your Subie? Custom fabbed brackets, or is there a clean solution that at least retains the sliders?

Gumball, i think you missed the pint here, the are NO B4's in Canada, i lived in Canada but moved to New Zealand... the cars here are Japanese Domestic Market...

WRX STi galore...

rice boys run around in 250bhp GTi-R's and Legascy RS...

not to mention all the little turbo AWD like the Toyota Starlet hatch and the 323 GTX (new ones)...
Skylines at every corner, etc...

only European cars have less than 200bhp here...

half of the cars on the streets have 280bhp or more

as for the B4 reaching the Americas... all i can say is Dream On... no pun intended but there is no way that a regular size family sedan with a 2000cc twin-turbo @ 280bhp find it's place in the American market, they built the H6 for you gus aren't you glad ?

sorry i'm a little cynical but that how they think, plus just ask the DOT how they would feel about such a car (that is if you can find someone over there the will give you a straight answer)

we're an invisible miority, they don't give a damn %$#@...

here it's free for all, you can modify your car as you please... first thing EVERYONE does on their WRX is install a 3" exhaust with NO CAT... all those cars sound like the WRC car... i'll try to get a .wav of the 22B at the dealership for you guys (no promise)

anyway, i'll get the car in October so i'll get som pics then

in the mean time, here are some pics of the dealership where i'm getting it... they're from last time i was here http://therapysubb.net/cars/auckland62k/14/
