Thumbs up I rode in a WRX tonight!!!

... and this was my face when I got out.

Here's the story. Well one of the Toronto members has an Sti Version 3 engine swap in his Impreza, and we had a mini meet today. Well, the gracious guy that he is, took us out for rides. Let me just say, UnF*CKINGbelievable!!! That thing was so fast.... I don't remember all of it. All I heard was blow-off valves, exhausts, and turbos spooling...

Then there was this bend in the turn and I'm thinking, "why isn't he slowing down"... man that sucker stuck to the pavement like it was on rails...

BTW, one of our members also has a Civic DX with an ITR engine in it, and he raced us, and we passed him very very easily.... I guess that's what AWD and 300+ hp will do to you.

Sorry for the rambling, I just got back, and have soooo much adrenaline right now.

oops forgot, STi Version 4 Type RA suspension.

Thumbs up

I got to drive one a few years back when I was in the Philippines...man did it grip like a MOFO and it was bone stock!!!

The guy was the Subaru importer for the Philippines and he had a saloon for his car and a WRX wgn for his wife...must be nice...
I wonder if Tiny checks this bbs?

There's no subsitute for a real WRX...maybe next year...

cheers

Talking

I know exactly what you are talking about: I've never been in a WRX, but last Sunday I got a ride in an Evo V at an autox. I too looked like this ( ) when I got out!

Thumbs up

Well Alwin, half of the Toronto Club got rides last night. The meet was at SEGACITY, and those games/rides were too boring, so we had to all get rides in Rich's car which is way more exciting!

Gambit,
You should see if you can come to Shannonville on Saturday afternoon for the lapping session.

Inspection? don't need it to renew license, and especially because the car is not older than 6 years. Besides, Rich can just throw in the old engine if need be.

Richard, have you been scaring the locals again?

Hey, if you want a real thrill ride see if you can talk Richard into giving you a ride in the rally car (full Group A!) (Sorry, Rich! )
