Because I ripped it out... former owner put cheap dye tint in and it turned purple. I may re-tint it but for the time being I like being able to see the window line.

This may be one case where different levels of tint on the same window might actually look good. Not the fade effect, but maybe something like 15 on the top and 30 on the bottom...
