most shops usually charge around $100-$150 on top of the price of springs.
If it's Garage 5, they charge 50 bucks on top of the spring prices for civics and hondas. Too bad yours a Subaru. Give them a try if you are on budget.
Or even rent a spring compressor and do it yourself.

you must be awear of the $75 alignment fee as well. Some shops may include it in installation. So, go to a shop that has alignment equipments. They usually can give you a better pricing on spring installation.

$100 cash at Garage Five, no tax.
However, be prepared to wait a while for bookings.

Cool. I still have to order the springs, so it's no big rush.

Is camber something to worry about after a drop with springs?

the change in toe is a bigger worry as it will cause premature wear on your tires. The Prodrive springs don't have a lot of drop so camber should be fine and front camber can be adjusted back into factory specs without issue.

I've got my car dropped closer to 2" on 17" wheels. I notice a little negative camber, but I doesn't seem like the toe is affected. Mind you, this is all by eye.

I haven't done an alignment yet, nor do I have a camber kit ... hmmm ....

2" will definitely affect toe... the before/after printout from the alignment machines showed mine totally out of wack both front and rear

wow... it's $100 for laser alignment now? nooo... it was only like $80 the last time i went to advance!

As Ben said you definitely need an allignment if you want to keep your tires around for awhile. Lowering the car two inches will change toe ALOT. Even an inch of lowering changes toe enough that it will affect tire wear. Camber is easy to spot by eye and people who have been in the business for awhile could guesstimate the degrees of camber quite well, but toe is much harder to tell unless it is horrifically out.

How long you been driving like this? If toe is out of whack, it should be noticable in uneven tire wear fairly quickly.

I plan to install my Eibach pro kit (1" drop) myself and check and adjust toe myself using a home-made measuring jig... a 2 x 4 or something that will reach across under the car with an adjustable finger screwed on at each end. I don't anticipate the need for a professional alignment with this simple spring installation.

Steve.
