Default Wheel repair - experiences?

Looking to send some wheels in to get them repaired, repainted, and refinished.

Anyone have gone to Green's or Panther can share good experiences?

Looking to hear from those with wheels that are not the regular silver color. I would like to know how good their paint matching is for unusual colors and and if you've had any issues with their matching from the moment u get them to over a long period of time.

Thanks!

FYI - Panther has a special on right now.. first 3 wheels for $135/wheel and the 4th one for $50. Doesn't matter what condition they're in or wheel design.

It will depend what condition they are in as far as repair (unless we're talking minor curb damage). Both those places are good. I've heard more second hand experiences from Panther. I use Nu-Brite and have had a couple wheels done by them with terrific results. Pro-line collision in north Van also uses them.

it's been awhile since i did any wheel repairs... everything that i've done has been thru panther. my first set was theft damage on a set of advans on my integra and when it came back the paint was not good and started flaking and i swore never to go back

the second time was curb damage to my dad's polished jaguar wheel. i didn't know at the time it was going to be panther (did it thru a second party), and it came back better than new... now i'm having trouble making the other 3 shiny as the repaired one

the last one was on my brother's car... a bc terasen gas truck backed into him and mutilated one of his jacknifes... it was both bent and a piece was missing from the lip. again panther repaired it and so far it's been good after 1 year.

wow the prices have gone up! it used to be 4 for the price of 3 @$125 each depending on what needed to be done

My research.. (all rates excl. tax)

I called Nu-Brite today and they have a packaged deal for $450/4 wheels. So no group rate - none for all 3 places about doing group rate for VIC.

I heard Green's is THE best but for $130-140 a wheel, that's a bit much. Haven't heard any bad things about them. (604-278-5937, in Surrey)

Panther.. besides BT's stories, I've heard complaints too. So I'll skip them. (604-599-1542, on Lulu Island it looks like)

OK Tire goes to NuBrite for wheel repairs as well - so I think I'll go there and have them do it. Haven't heard one bad thing about them either so I'll go with these guys. I'm told they'll remount and re-balance your wheels afterwards and have it ready to go for u (I'm guessing this is the norm anyway). You can even drop the car off, but u gotta tell them ahead of time. (604-888-3630, in Surrey)

Thanks for the input guys. I'm sure this thread will be useful to ppl that search the forum in the future.

Feel free to add anything to this thread.

You made the right choice Mihraghee...as I said I had sent two customers wheels there, both BBS (good shiz) and both were finnished both promtly and competently. From a shop they will pick up and drop off as well so it is really hassle free. Sometimes you can even get it the next day if they pick up in th emorning and drop off the following afternoon. Shweet. They also gave us the choice of a calendar....with or without girls!!

I am gonna take my OZ superleggeras to Nubrite I think. One of them is curbed a little bit from previous owner (pat lololol) but might as well have them all refinished.

I took a rear motorcycle rim to Green's. It was bent lip that needed to be repaired. I didn't get it repainted. They charged me at a lower rate. They do very good work. And, very close to where I live.
