Post Autostart question!!!

I was wonderin...if I have a standard car....how does auto start work?? and does it work??? do you have to buy like some special adapter kit or sumthing for the autostart in order for it to work??

They'd need to install a neutral sensor and a relay to fool the ignition to think that the clutch is in. We have a guy in the club here who did it to his own car (cept without the neutral sensor).

The RS has a neutral sensor built in. You can find the wire at the ECU. And you will have to bypass the clutch engagement switch.

so its actual not a real problem at all?? all I gotta do is buy the autostart and intsall it as usual except bypass the clutch thingy in the computer?? cools..gonna get one..haha...its too cold mornings here...and the fact I get up to go to skool at 9 when class starts at 9:30...its nice to give the car a nice minute warm up..=0)

Is there some kinda switch that will not allow it to start if the car is in gear?? I wouldnt like to use it and find mycar down the block crashed into someones house does anyone know if something like that is possible??

haha..lol.that would really suck.but i guess the thing is you HAVE to keep the car in Neutral...or else when you start it..the car will jump and stall...so yeah.you prob have to keep it in neutral
