Thumbs up Mileage!!! Texans, can you beat me? Can anyone else?

Why do I give this topic a thumbs up icon??? Because I love my car that much.

I have owned it exactly 100 days (July 13) and yester day I crossed 9200 miles, I average 92 friggin miles per day!

I think I have the record in North Texas, who has a worse per day mileage than me?

Changing that mileage on a monthly basis is a pain in the ass!

Well, better get back on the road! got more miles to rack up.... determined to break 36,000 in one year!

Cool

Hmmm... I drive 120 miles per day commuting. That doesn't count mileage I do during lunch and after work.
Right now I'm at about 49k in 18 months.

Post

18 months times 30.5 days = 549 days

49,000mi/549 = 89.25 mi/day

So how do you do 120 a day? do u not drive at all on the weekend?

Oh, I wasn't counting the weekends. Then I usually put about 200-500 miles on the odo.
So let's see if I can remember back to physics class when I did conversions... WEEKDAYS=120mi/day*5day/week*52week/yr=31200miles/year
WEEKENDS=200*2*52=20800miles/year (I lowballed the mileage here...)
WEEKDAYS+WEEKENDS=52000miles/year.

52000miles/year*1year/365days=142.47 miles/day

So, I actually average closer to 142.47 miles per day. Whew!! I'm glad I have a comfy seat.

EDIT: Wait a minute!!! That doesn't add up. Hold on a sec...

OK, is it just me, or does the subject of this post sound like a poorly translated Japanese subtitle?

HA HA HA! I got my laugh for the day.

It was suppose to be read like this:

Can anyone else?

But you know what? we can't have multi-line topic titles.

No offense about shutting the hell up.
You gotta admit, it was funny.

Hmm... 1997 OBS... 82,464 miles on it. Bought it September 1, 1997, so that's 1149 days I believe... So I'm at ~ 72 mpD... Not so bad actually, seeing as though my commute daily is about 90 miles total, but I only make it to the office maybe 1 day a week. Of course, I do own 4 cars, and if you take the mileage from all 4 cars in the past 3 years, I'm WAY over 150,000 miles, which is closer to 150 mpD heh...

Gee, that's just what you came up with... I've never been good at math!
But right now I am doing about 120 miles/day during the week, with about 200 miles/day Sat and Sun. And that doesn't include the mileage I put on other cars!

MOVE??? Naw. I prefer a commute of at least 30 miles, as long as I'm not fighting traffic... Which I'm not. As for moving... Well, I just did.

Hey, I don't mean to brag but I got 18600 on my car ( and I just got it in mid March, and have taken it for warranty work which took a week or two ) that's not too much unless you consider that I live on the island of Oahu, and from the farthest point of the island to the other, it is only about 70 miles...

I was averaging 112 miles a day,to work and home. Thats not counting the run around time at night. Now its something like 104 a day just to work and back. That and I was driving three hours one way on the weekends to see a girl. Six weekends in a row, right after I got it. I've had my car 5 months and it has 16000 miles on it. And I've enjoyed every single mile.

I think I may have the record for the fewest miles per day.

I bought my MY00 on November 30, 1999. It had 51 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. It now has 7285 on it. That's 331 days I believe... 21.85 miles per day.

Of course, I had my car for 4.5 months to the day, then some jacka$$ hit me... in the shop for 5.5 months to the day. I guess that helps.
