ok, couple of questions.

i have a 97 OB sport wagon, and my hatch has stopped working electrically. what i mean is that the power lock actuator no longer functions with the rest of the doors. the third brake light does not work and the rear defroster doesn't work. the rear wiper still works but there is an audible clicking sound through the speakers when i turn it off.

so has anyone had similar problem or have any suggestions? the clicking in the speakers is merely an annoyance but if anyone knows of a fix i would appreciate it. Also could the third brake light be causing my CC to not work? (the light comes on on the dash button, but it won't engage with the toggle)

i have checked all the fuses and they are fine. i also checked all of the wiring in the hatch itself and everything appeared to be OK. several months ago i did blow the fuse for the rear brake lights, but i replaced it and haven't had any problems with that since. any suggestions would be helpful. thanks.

sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere or an open in the wiring.

A good place to check is for pinched broken wires where they pass from the body through to the hatch, usually located near a hinge.

all your issues do sound related.

my hatch has been acting funny, the interior light goes off when the hatch is opend about a fifth of the way, and stays off until just before you close it. have no idea what it is though .
