Default Speed Sensor Location?

I installed my Pioneer Navigation Kit BUT the installer could not find the speed sensor to connect it.

Where is it located?

The VSS is located in the transmission. Get the wiring diagrams for your car and tap the input going into the ECU. That would probably be the easiest.

um actually the easiest place to tap into it is the cruise control. I also have the Pioneer Navigation system and that's where pioneer says to install the tap. Sorry I'm not sure which color wire but I know it comes off the cruise control switch. If you can't find out let me know, i will go look under my dash and try to find it, or call Pioneer directly that's what my installer did.

Rally Stuff Need help with an 2005 WRX

Hello,

I am trying to help someone with a 2005 WRX Sedan 5MT. We are hooking up a rally computer and we need the +5V signal from the VSS ( vehical speed sensor ) at the ECU. I have looked at all the schematics that are available on the ravensblade site and can't seem to find the right one. I tapped the one that I thought was for the 05 (which seemed to be exactly the same GY wire in the in the 1 slot of the front most plug of the ECU / ECM that I used on my 03 when I installed a rally computer on mine. )

Can anyone help with diagram of the 2005 ECU/ ECM pin out, harness guide, color code, ect. so that I can get this install done.

Thanks in advance,

RR

I am looking at this ECU Diagram, are the diagrams on page 1 referring to the harness end or the socket end (on the ECU/ECM).
