so in the FAQ it states the stock WRX tmic is good for 300whp.....will that increase if you replace the piping since that should make it more efficient? Also, have a 2011 are those intercoolers the same as previous years even with the increase in HP? Not that I plan on having 300whp anytime soon....but one can dream right?

I'll be installing a vf43 and a sti tmic in my 06 wrx. Will I need a different y-pipe and throttle body coupler, or will the stock sti piping fit?

I am new to the Subaru game, but will a sti tmic be a direct bolt on on a wrx?

If I get an intercooler that is bigger than what I have on my 02 wrx now, will I gain hp?
All I have in my car now is dp, up and tune.

I bought an APS version 1 Tmic and I am having trouble installing it on a 2006 wrx.. Nothing seems to line up. I know I am missing the bracket that came with it, but shouldn't it at least fit in? Is there a big difference in the first and second version? On there website it shows there new tmic kit would fit an 02 up.

You probably need a longer y pipe or extension to reach the turbo. The v1 had a wider bracket on the passenger side. The v2 is a tad wider than v1.

Is it worth upgrading the tmic on a 09 wrx that is stock besides a cbe? If so what kind of gains can be expected?

Default STI topmount

My buddy of mine has a 02 wrx and he upgraded to a vf39 turbo and wishes to switch up from a wrx top mount to the 04 sti top mount. He has the stock sti metal y pipe. Since he has a vf39 and not the td04, is it necessary for him to buy the longer 90' elbow/?

A 39 is the same as stock size wise, so no.

But he still needs a longer hose from the intercooler to the throttle body right?

Just throwing it in here, since I stumbled on it while looking for something else in the same category.
