Post Aren't you tired of WRX rumors yet?

Come on now its been how many years since Subaru first said that a WRX was on its way? In all this time with all the posts about rumors, speculation or articles it seems that nobody wants to let it wait until the damn thing comes out. How many redundant posts about the WRX are you going to post here? What will you do with your time when it finally comes out? Has anybody done a search in the General forum alone for the last month and seen how many different posts mention the new WRX? Why not just give it a Forum of its very one? Don't say the usual BS about if you don't want to read it then don't go to them because the rest of us still have to wade through the WRX posts to find the rest of the posts.

BPM finally acquired their development 2001 model this week and the wait was longer than we expected. Suffice to say the USA is getting it and perhaps on time

At this early stage the car seems very tuneable, extremely refined, upgrade options will have to be addressed due to certain key issues ie ADD ON ie Unichip [piggyback or interceptors] computers will NOT Work on the new WRX because it has full 02 sensor control through a 4 wire oxygen sensor in the manifold in the end of the front pipe.

The MAP sensor is in the inlet manifold (so cheating the fuel cut is difficult) and finally, the air flow meter is part of the air box and smaller again.

Apart from these stumbling issues , BPM is already getting the inventory stacked high and the future looks very bright for you USA guys.

We will keep you posted of BPM development parts and the time release into the USA market.

Stay calm, its arriving soon...

PS 10.28 is the new WRX world record 1/4 mile pass.....

BPM, am I to understand that you guys have in your shop a US spec WRX for aftermarket development? If so, c'mon give us some info. What are the stock specs?

Edit, well I'm guessing its not a USA spec WRX that you have.

As to the information on hand Australia is getting the SAME WRX 2001 ie the lower end power unit.

So we can state, yes we do have the USA spec WRX model and have started development work.

Suffice to say, emmision laws have become to ridiculous to the point the car is running 3 [three] cats.

Yup. I'm for one sick of the usual questions like pricing and hp figures. But somehow mysteriously, I am always drawn to all WRX related posts no matter how many times I've read them..... now that is a WRX fanatic!

No, I can't get enough! I think it will be anti-climactic when we get the official word. We should all enjoy the feeding frenzy while we can.

My wife says I'm obsessed.

Hey BPM,
Why is the Aussie spec car 218hp and the US spec car is gonna be 227hp? What are the differences between the two?

I think that there are just a lot of jealous people out there that are secretly pissed that the WRX is finally going to hit the U.S. shore. In a word: GET OVER IT.

If you want one, pony up the cash.

I'll see you in line. lol.
