Angry never thought it would happen to me

I never thought it would happen to me. I tried as hell to avoid acciedents but this one was beyond me. While driving home tonight, I was cruising as usual in the far left lane. When all of a sudden the car in front of me lost his catalytic converter. Well the damn thing broke into a million piece's. A big chunk took one bounce then flew right into my windsheild. It went threw my windsheild and into the backseat wear my baby seat is. Thankfully I didn't have the kid. But man my car is throughly trashed now. It broke one of the headlights. The front end is chipped to hell and know I have a hole burnt into my backseat.

OUCH!!! Sorry to hear that man. A similar incident happened to me when a truck hauling scraps of wood hit a bump and tossed me some of the load. Most windshield installers waive the insurance deductable.

Yeah, I hope insurance would cover it...

Insurance company: "Well sir... we are not convinced that you didn't do this yourself..."

I don't see that happening.

Wow, that is very scary. I am just glad you hear you are not hurt, and you did not have any passengers. Cars can be fixed, and I am sure that the insurance thing will go fine. It is pretty obvious that it was not your fault, with the guys cat in your back seat. Don't throw it out! If you have insurance problems, you can probably find interior parts pretty easy. To bad about the headlight/hood though, but lots of members are doing that dual lamp conversion, so there you go. Try to get some of the parts yourself, so you can keep some insurance money, and by yourself a mod, or some ice cream for your kids!

Well I got a call today from the Police dept. They got a call from a lady that saw it happen and she got the plate number. I am going to turn it over to the insurance and let them take care of it.
I am going to call a couple of places today about a new seat. Humm maybe a WRX rear seat to go with the new Sparco units that are on order. I do like the dual headlights, so i might just order those. Thanx for the support.

montgog, cheering up already I see. You must feel so lucky that that person saw it happen, and took down the plate number.
A friend of mine got Spacro Seats, and then ordered matching fabric to redo the rears to match. it was pretty cheap overall. He has not had it done, but has everything. You might want to think about that, if the seat is still good. His name is Edwin Efoo (screen name efoo). Look him up if you have any questions. He is in the Mass. section.

It's people like that woman who rock! People like ~that~ gives me alittle confidence in current mankind.

This reminds me.....
Last weekend I was coming home from the usual social gathering in Houston with some friends at about 1am. I was on 290 for you Houston guys. (290 is a beautiful semi-straight highway that goes forever. It screams speed) I had my cruise set at about 60 - 62 in the middle of three lanes when out of NOWHERE a late model Sunfire changes lanes from far right lane, almost hitting my car in the middle lane, and ends up in the far left lane....at between 100 to 110 mph?! My first reaction was to flash my highs at him to slow down but I figured with all the freaks and drunks in Houston they'd slam on the brakes and come back to hit my car. He's out of sight within seconds.
I come up over a hill to see him slammed into the fast lane wall?!?! I stop to to aid. Turns out the 18 or 19 year old bastard was completely drunk (could barely understand his speech) and had hit three of my friends ahead of me in their Nissan?! He did the same move...three lane change and hit their rear. They were ok...she (the driver) regained control of the squirely rear of her Nissan.
HE on the other hand lost it, spun, and hit the wall so hard that the whole chassis of the Sunfire was twisted. Completely totalled the car...he was ok. The bastard is lucky he's alive....especially since my friends are ok and he didn't hit MY car. I stayed since I was a witness to the speed. I didn't get home until 3:34am after the cops were done....totally tired the next day....but I'm SOOO glad I helped get a drunken bastard like that off the streets...
One less jerk off to hurt us....and more importantly our Subes....?!

Wife made me downgrade...

I was born and raised in Houston so I got to see people drive like that every weekend. I finally had to leave there about 10 years ago and moved to Colorado for some peace and quiet.

Seems a lot better here in Colorado Springs, except now I'm the one who drives nuttier than everyone else. Seems you learn to drive aggressive in Houston, then it sticks with you...
