Wink Dual Headlight Conversion (Pics as we type)

Okay I got lots of stuff in and this board is so important that I will post them here first as soon as I find someplace to host one to show the J Morrette Conversion (Flame Suit up to my HEAD!)
I like the conversion... a lot! i think it looks badd ass bimma sophisticated now. Plus the things are bright too! It did not come out looking like an Integra to me but an M3. IMHO. I body-matched it and will scan the pics as soon as I get a chance.
On another topics, I now have original Headlights for sale and will post them in the Classifieds. Hope someone can use them (MY00 RS).
Oh and Opie you will see the Illusive RS from Miami soon enough. Sorry again I could not make it to the autoX.

I have to say, my thoughts exactly. Looks like a Teg to me. Don't take this the wrong way, it's just my opinion.

Cool

Hey no offense taken. Some will like it some will not. But how come it looks like a teg and not a bmw? Tegs are not the only cars with dual lights.

I like the look very much. Can you take a comparison pic of the stock headlights versus the new ones? (maybe round up a local RSer). Also, could you take a pic with the foglight covers removed? Thanks

I like it!

Oh, and I think the reason it looks more like a Teg is that you've got the foglight covers on. Pluck those babies off and the Subaru should shine. Literally.

Have a good one.

Obviously, the split appreciation for this conversion seems to be among those who want their cars to "look" good versus those who want to "SEE" when actually driving in the dark.
Despite technological advances, round reflectors & european lense design still seem to throw light forward more effectively.
cheers!

ARGH! now I have to go buy some for my car!

Looks good man, no integra will ever look that good, or have lights that bright.

I think the car maybe looks like a distant cousin of the Integra. The car looks more like a rally car now instead of a agressive street car to me.

The lights (and the car) look sweet. An Integra?...NOT! Try a three-quarter shot in the midday.

Oh now I know what "came up" so you couldn't come out to the auto-x , Looks great, I wasn't sure if I'd like them but they look awesome! We had 6 Sube's at the auto-x, 4 RS's & 2 L's. Was fun! See ya in 2 weeks!

After owning an Integra in the past I am not big on the round headlight setup. Subaru should just use better HID lights to begin with. If that is what you were going for and your happy with it then fine. The light covers on the fogs may make it look worse then it is also.

Very impressive! Although they ~resemble~ a Tegs lights they bigger and more pronounced. They look MUCH better. Any pics without the fog covers on? Geez...imagine having THIS car zoom up behind you with the lows, highs, and fogs on...as well as the other lights...It'd look like a UFO?!...LOL

Question

The question I have is do they project a better light beam? It the low beams laying light where it is useful? Is it an improvement over stock, stock with better bulbs? How about the high beams?

Do you get flashed with the lows on?

What type and power bulbs are you running?

Sorry for all the questions.

Am I the only one with this mod? I need backup.
Wow N/A, that's the first time I heard someone getting flamed for the Fog light covers. The covers do protect the lights you know from road debris. I rather pay $100 for the covers than my life savings for a broken fog light. But on the looks I thought they looked alright. oh well
On the functionality of the dual headlight conversion, yes the lights are much brighter than the stock ones. They use CIBIE H3s. Haven't realy gone out at night in traffic to say about someone flashing me, but I have used them at night to say they are much brighter than stock. Hope this helps.
