Sev,

The Borla Turbo isn't quite as loud as the N1, but it does sound deeper & rumblier. One of the reasons why I like mine is that it sounds so mean yet it looks stocker than stock because of the unassuming 2.25" tip. Nobody sells this particular Borla as a catback kit, although Borla does sell their own catback system, but rumor has it it's 2" & not SS. Plus I think it's a different muffler with a bigger tip.

I just had carparts.com drop-ship the muffler & tip to RalliSpec & they had the whole system waiting for me when I showed up.

I had a similar subject posting a few days ago, Sev...but hey, I'll chime in.

From what I'm hearing, it's all about the Borla. Cheap, stainless, and effective.

But I'm also looking at the Apexi RS, which I hear is similar to noise as stock but with a little more boost. Again, not much on the search.

Have a good one.

Sev. I heard the stainless single tip Stromung for the first time today, and let me tell you it sounds sweet. Very deep and very low. If thats what you want, you won't be dissappointed.

I want one too,
How do you measure a tip though?
What size do you need?
I saw 8" or 6 1/2" or will any one do?

Can anybody post a link to a .wav file? I'm very interested in an exhaust but only if it's very very deep sounding. I've only heard the Stromung and that was the one I was thinking of getting, but since StiSev says the Borla sounds better...

I have a cat back system that was actually made by Borla. It was made for the 2.2 and has 2" piping (I didn't know this when I ordered it, I was told it was 2.25") but it fits my RS perfectly. If there's any performance increase, it's very slight. The sound is amazing though and it looks great. The whole system is stainless. It doesn't look like ridenlow's system, it has a bigger muffler and a 4" tip. When installed, you'd swear it looks like a stock part. I'll try to get some pictures up this week. I got it from Competition Design in Utah 801-484-9812. If they don't have any more contact Borla and ask about part # 14885. Or even better, ask them if they're going to do a system for the 2.5L!

Sure, you can weld any tip onto there as long as it's not smaller than 2.25". & not larger than the height of the muffler .

I read posts on this board about the Borla factory-made system that it is 2" and NOT stainless. Check your invoice. Nativo has reviewed it. Picture would be nice.
