Post whatever happened to Lancia Delta?

What happened to this car company? Go under? I thought they were part of the Fiat/Alfa group? If so why don't they make cars any more?

The thinking in FIAT group is,

FIAT makes all the regular tin boxes
Alfa makes the sports oriented models ala BMW
Lancia makes the premium models ala Lexus
All companies share floorpans and other components for cost reasons.

Nice idea, but the Lancias are so bad they don't even sell them in UK any more.

Fiat owns Ferrari... Ferrari is dead. All that remains is Italian trash.
