Default Forester XT turbo specs

I have a quick question, did a search and could not find any specific information.

The Forester STi in Japan has a VF41 turbo, and I am wondering if it is literally the same turbo that is being used in the 2.5 STi that was just released here in Japan.

Thanks in advance,

Paul Hansen

The XT uses the WRX turbo. Is that what you wanted to know?

More info in this Subaru OZ pdf .

Dear Paul-san,

I've put together a lot of FXT info at :
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/foresterxt/files/

I enjoyed your review of the STi Forester a lot!

Sayonara,

Bob

Do U.S. 2004 Forester's come with data dots?

Forester STi? Never heard of one of those ... what's the difference?

Newly released in Japan - the Forester STI (SG9 instead of SG5) comes with 2.5-litre single turbo/intercooled flat four, 6-speed manual from the WRX STi, beefed up suspension components, pillow-ball rear links, 18" wheels and rubber with Brembo brakes front and rear. It looks like they are using a USDM Forester XT motor with a WRX intercooler, mated up to the STi 6-speed. Just curious if they are using the exact same turbo as well.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen
